This slection was about racism and misogyny, sure. but the key driver for the existence of MAGA and the GOP is about enriching further the rich. It was never about the little people who apparently have bought into their bullshit. People buying lots of shit just feeds the rich and people like Musk who will be the de factor President of the country. Stick it to the man wherever and whenever you can.

I ramped up my climate activism when Trump was elected in 2016. We actually made some progress locally in part because we knew it was hopeless on a national level. If Trump is elected, what little progress that has been made on the national level will probably be wiped out.

Trump and his cult say that it was divine intervention that he didn't get killed. But apparently God is letting hundreds of innocent people die due to this recent hurricane. Something seems wrong here.

WW2 was a crisis and we responded appropriately. We are in a crisis a lot worse than WW2 but we act as if it's all good.

During the spring of 1942, a rationing program was established that set limits on the amount of gas, food and clothing consumers could purchase. Families were issued ration stamps that were used to buy their allotment of everything from meat, sugar, fat, butter, vegetables and fruit to gas, tires, clothing and fuel oil.

We need to protect the shred of democracy we have. But then we need to work to actually have a real democracy. Our fake democracy is why we are in trouble.

Reminder. If you're not keeping it in the ground, you do not have a good climate plan. We don't have a good climate plan.

@bmacDonald94 I am thus far avoided being a vocal doomer but there is no way we will do what McKibben has in mind. He sounded the warning decades ago and I have been active in trying to get changes made which would avoid these consequences. A nasty, brutish life is coming if not extinction.

@dangillmor I was questioning this shortly after the shooting and complaining about the lack of press analysis. The press is failing to due diligence of the truth. I have always called this an alleged shooting.

From day one of his candidacy in 2015, Trump was an instigator and vocal lover of violence and did not care at all for the tens of thousands that died during his Presidency from covid. Nor did he care about the victims of mass murder, saying, at one point, we need to move on. The litany of evil that this man has committed and intends to commit is almost endless. But let's let bygones be bygones and sing kumbayah together.
