I'm looking forward to the day when Christians in America actually *care* about life (in all its stages, from conception to retirement), instead of using it as a wedge issue to amass political power.
Telling someone who is impoverished and scared that it's a crime for them to end their pregnancy and not lifting a finger to help them is the best prelude to a modern Matthew 23 rebuke from heaven that I can imagine.

I haven't flown an #RCPlane in eight years, and I miss it. I have a little #drone, but that does NOT count. RC Planes are majestic and elegant. Drones are just Space Invaders in the air. ZERO feeling of flight. :P

I'm thinking about re-enrolling in the #AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) and joining a local #RC #club.
There aren't any RC #airfield's [sic.] particularly close to me, but not too far away, either. All I really want to do is dink around with a little park flyer, but people are way too scared of even the most pedestrian #UAV's [sic.] these days, and you really need some kind of air field to fly in, whether a formal one, or just a literal field out in the boonies.

Having a #pixel phone with a semi-bum camera has got me wondering why I even *use* a phone when I'm not messaging or calling someone (or taking photos).
I think when I get my next phone (I'll see if I can manage to wait for the pixel 8 to come out, or if I just spring for a used 6 pro), I'm going to resist the urge to load it up with apps.

Seems that #YouTube has defeated the front-end websites for good.
Both #invidious and #piped are down.
Guys, of you care about #freedom and #privacy, it's REALLY time to start investing heavily in @peertube (in every sense of the word)
https://rldane.space/the-revolution-is-being-televised.html
Edit: Clarify that I'm talking about YouTube front-end websites, not apps like NewPipe or yt-dlp.

YouTube can't easily block newpipe, because the "ripping" is happening locally on your device.
The front-end websites extract the video from youtube and serve it to their users, so Youtube has a clear IP address trail to block. Or at least, that's my understanding of it.

Whoa. Sounds a bit like #Forth.
Also, a bit like fun bash hacky one-liners that slowly grow into feature-complete scripts. Because THAT has totally happened to me more times than I can count.

I looked at an example or two on wikipedia, but the problem I had was that it was hard to follow when there's only one grouping symbol "(" vs two in C "(" and "{".
I'm guessing that's something that either syntax highlighting helps with, or you just learn to read.
