   YouTube can't easily block newpipe, because the "ripping" is happening locally on your device.

   The front-end websites extract the video from youtube and serve it to their users, so Youtube has a clear IP address trail to block. Or at least, that's my understanding of it.

     Seems that #YouTube has defeated the front-end websites for good.

     Both #invidious and #piped are down.

     Guys, of you care about #freedom and #privacy, it's REALLY time to start investing heavily in @peertube (in every sense of the word)
