Literally a few days ago when I flashed the stock OS back to my Pixel 10 to see if it can still be debloated only to find out that they disabled the pm command in an adb shell for everyone except root users (which would break SafetyNet).

Google really wants everyone using fucking Gemini and won't let anyone uninstall it unless they degoogle their Pixels (waiting on YOU, @calyxos)

I still have the same VCR I've had since 1998 while I was in the Navy. I still have the remote control for that VCR. You're not getting me to get rid of my VCR even in death even though it's been well over 25 years since I turned it on.

Likewise, the TV I haven't powered on in over 13 years still has a cathode ray tube sticking out the back of it.

I noticed @seano struggling with explaining Mastodon and the greater ActivityPub so I stepped in with an analogy involving the phone system and email (you can call someone on a T-Mobile cell phone from a Verizon landljne/you can email my Proton address from Gmail) and it dawned on everyone how apt it is.
