Now that masto.nyc has been migrated to Digital Ocean I feel like I can show you what it USED to run on. These are 3 ebay desktops that I bought maxed out their RAM and threw a new, small, SSD into. They ran Ubuntu server and actually were really solid as k8s nodes!

I had to enable "auto-on on shutdown" because, for a long while, Con Edison outages meant masto.nyc went down until I came back home.

After the migration I can finally power down clean it up😬
