↳ Helpers::validateLocalUrl() fails here, so inbound Follows, replies (inReplyTo) and Undos that reference local URLs are dropped. One private or reserved record (split-horizon DNS, internal resolver, ULA AAAA) is enough. Negative results are cached for 5 minutes. (2/2)

@dansup Dan I appreciate the screenshots and details, but those are some wrong priorities to do this while a fundamental function of #pixelfed is not working (federated activities)

@dansup Receiving federated activities (likes, boosts) is still broken!

@shlee @dansup there seems to be an issue again with federated activities. Neither likes nor shares from other servers are showing up as notifications and there is also just the ActivityHandler, but no LikePipeline or SharePipeline running.

@dansup @pixelfed Looks good. I would just go the same way with embeds and atom feeds. Either disable or enable for both. The two switches should do the same thing, otherwise it might get confusing

@pixelfed @dansup Is the migration fix part of 0.12.8, or are you planning on pinning another release soon?

@dansup I appreciate you taking the time to implement these kind of policies to prevent abuse. But it also should be very transparent to both admins and users what regulations are in place and also how to enable/disable or change them. An admin should not have to search your mastodon profile to find information about this kind of thing

@dansup It might help to add a link to the actual vulnerability that requires this update to fix.
