We won't be attending a wedding we've been invited to down in the US.

Would I end up in a detention cell by going through the US border? How would my family and friends deal with this stressful scenario? My husband is Asian. We are a gay couple. We are at greater risk of being bullied by CBP/ICE. Most of them are ultra-conservative.

Even these "additional checkpoints" seem like harassment.

Deleted my #mozilla #firefox sync account due to the latest #privacy policy changes. Not sure why I was daft enough to create a sync account, have never really used it.

This has been a year of one company after another disappointing me and having to move elsewhere. Thankfully there is a lot of choice.

@aral Having worked in the diplomatic service in the UK I have seen heated exchanges behind the scenes but in not in front of the media, at least not to this extent. It’s unforgivable.

The Trump administration has just shown themselves to be divisive bullies, again. Trump has lost the plot and those around him are mirroring his disgusting behaviour because they are weak pathetic humans. Tax payers and the world deserve better.

@liztai Someone told me that actors get their base salary but some get an additional "under the table" amount to avoid taxes. Some have been caught doing that. Not sure if that's true.

At least I don't have to send them a tip.

I saw a show on Viki that was 90 episodes long, I grew up in the UK with just 8-13 episodes per season. I'm pleased they reduced the duration of the seasons.

@liztai It’s unbelievable how many shows some actors have to appear in, they must get exhausted. How do their salaries compare to US actors?

@liztai Kicking off a project used to take months with budgets, senior leadership approval, compiling risk registers, getting team members on board. I guess it must have been a "seat of my pants" style project.

@chris The US has a database of convicted felons that Canada has access to. When pardoned they may be removed from that database. However, Canada has its own database of high risk people they won't let in, ie belong to a terrorist group but never been convicted. Personally, I would feel better if there are some reassurances that these violent offenders who tried to commit a coup would absolutely not be let in.

@liztai I understand “Red Note” has had issues with toxic posters and bullies in the past too. I don’t care for any of these platforms, like a school playground of 2 year olds having a tantrum. I really don’t know what happened to people.
