@cwebber What do you think of JS packages, ten years later (same day, what a coincidence)?

I am a bit curious - does C map directly to the hardware, or vaguely similar to how there's the GC memory auto-allocation abstraction in GC-based languages, it abstracts over a PDP-11?

@13reak Oh yes, minus the GC (obviously, as C is manual) but purely talking about the similarities in abstraction over modern machines.
Because I came across the concept of a "Lisp machine", and now I am not sure what a modern machine should be called relative to that?
Are modern machines descendants of PDP-11? Because at least after reading the "C Is Not a Low-level Language - Your computer is not a fast PDP-11." article, I can't help but be more confused.

@abcdw You're doing great.
Honestly, I am still not "good" enough to be able to do Guile Scheme or Guix because circumstances, but I hope that I could contribute to the ecosystem, especially for Guile and Prescheme. Maybe devenv, but for Guix? Or Kakoune, but Scheme-powered?

@rysiek is there any remote/global internship or junior position I can apply for?
I don't mind unpaid, as long as I can add this as a valid experience to my resume.
I have some basic beginner hobbyist understanding of Go, and it looks like Hugo is some sort of SSG framework.

fsf@hostux.social I've wanted to say this for quite some time - there is no engagement in this account. FSF needs to up their game - this isn't going to cut it.
Where are the updates on projects? Guix just had a RFC recent - where is the post for the same? What about GSoC participation awareness? What about unmaintained softwares looking for love?
