A really unhelpful behavior and if I would add my own judgement: if you don't want that people add their opinions to your own writing, then write them into a journal in your home on paper and leave the rest of the world in peace with it.

@BeAware That the "social" in "social media" means also different things to different people. In some german podcast, I heard for example, that "social" is in english more the relation, that we put our opinions out into the open and people give their comments to them.

The direct german translation of "sozial" has the connotation of acting "socially", so being courteous, respecting each other, etc.

I need to stop myself from commenting on posts on the #fediverse on one hand this is considered by some people as "rude" and on the second hand the medium is the wrong for having decent conversations. This is just another Twitter clone, some other becoming hellscape of #social media.

Being labelled also as a "reply-guy" (or "troll") is also what I don't I can comprehend. At the moment the "receiver" of a message doesn't like the content or the sender, the sender is labelled as "something bad".

@cwebber I wonder if there is not some law, which prohibits naming yourself as some kind of royal or identity which you are not.

I had today a conversation with a lawyer. They achieve to make me instantly nervous, all the many ways your existence, what you are doing, what you write, what you think which could cause "consequences" in the form of angry letters written by a lawyer.

@cwebber @mntmn I'm also thinking about throwing money at a Reform Next, now it has the rough (even slightly smaller) dimensions of a Thinkpad X230, which is great because all my bags are optimized for that size (= not the size of the big Reform).

So how (our dear queen) does the Reform Pocket hold up quality-wise?

@cwebber And people normally run whimsical things on "serious" stuff. One needs not to forget that Smalltalk, the inspiration for modern desktops, GUIs, IDEs had exactly that kind of "silliness" when the people back then where thinking about how children could use these things to create programs.

This playfulness is something which is lacking currently in "frameworks", libraries, etc. all very boring strictly typed nonsense where no REPL can be found.
