@ryanc Yep, those emails really are from MS. They're from the Junk Mail Reporting Programme (JMRP) which is having some major changes made, that appear to mostly be complete toss and will render it almost totally useless.

It's been talked about in email circles for about a week.

Actually what I'd love to have is a reliable recipe to make gluten free pasta or similar that can be used for pierogi, tortellini etc so I can make them for my wife. I still haven't managed a decent one yet.

I'll also be better at it when I can stand up for long periods...

@skinnylatte That ship quietly sailed away a long, long time ago. In late 2024 or early 2025 when I was mid-chemo, someone at Tesco told me "It's gone, you know, you don't have to wear that now".

I told the bloke it was nothing to do with him. He started spouting some nonsense or other but I cut him off with "I'm having chemo for terminal cancer, I'm immunosuppressed, I don't want to catch whatever you have, how's your day going?"

To say he looked embarrassed would be a massive understatement.

@GossiTheDog we've been looking at likely costs for upgrading our storage and compute platforms at work.

Dell, HP etc are now saying that they'll only honour a quote that day or that week. Public sector procurement takes so long that this makes it completely impossible to plan ahead.

I guess we'll be sweating our current platforms a little while longer...

@skinnylatte I've no idea how it will sit with you, but look up Green Wing. She played an HR officer in a hospital, was massively pregnant, and bloody hilarious.

They're very surreal but the scene with someone with something stuck up their nose is classical British comedy.
