@ryo @TerminalAutism Nintendo so far refuses to go full soy, so just like with Splatoon 3, they cockblocked rabid consoomers and said she was just a normal girl

@TerminalAutism @ryo ancaps would at least be funny, but it was the baby pink-baby blue crowd
@TerminalAutism @ryo oh wait, there was this new "poketuber" character who might produce lots of lewds but due to her color palette guess who tried to "claim" her......
I doubt the sales will be low, and there are a ton of defenders already, blaming the hardware where PC games run decently
(although I personally really liked gen 7 Moon and its story at least for the balls Game Freak displayed there, but I never played Pokemon before)
@TerminalAutism @ryo everyone were only complaining and extremely cautious about woke character designs long before release
@TerminalAutism @ryo a girl character doesn't move like a girl anymore, either
feminine gestures, movements, anatomy - poof, just are gone
@ryo I didn't find any method of returning to the skin/sex choice menu, although I didn't play for long
nonetheless, it's sad, that we got comfy customization options only through woke bullshit
@ryo nah, you seemingly choose sex and skin color in the very beginning, and later it can't be changed, I think they warn about this?
@ryo tbh, this game does have detailed face customization with more full lips and eyelash recoloring
and being able to choose all haircuts is good, although there are no really long hair, unlike in previous Pokemon :peepoSuspicious:
@ryo @xianc78 there are pocket notebooks with attached pens, made to be portable
@MoeBritannica :MeguWhat:
@ryo well, technically all colors are basically shades of light
in digital painting you work with how light gets emitted, and in traditional (CMYK) with how light gets absorbed
purple is tricky with some hues closer to pink (magenta), and some closer to blue (violet)
there are also such fun settings as saturation and value, and they will make or break the result, too!
@ryo idk whether it's the language affecting vision or vise versa, but different nations perceive colors differently as well; and both sexes see them differently, too
like, I read that 青い is both blue and green (at least when it comes to veggies?), and English speakers have blue as a wider range of colors while in Russian синий and голубой are both blue, but differ greatly
colors are fun
I didn't even say any fun-letter words and got blocked :meru_tea:
:meru_lul:
@ryo jabanese difficurr, but online translators, especially which are able to read text from camera, are life saviors... :cry_konata:
absolutely everyone who oppose AI art on basis of it being "unethical" should reject using such unethical things which have put lots of people out of their jobs as writing (no market for storytelling by memory anymore...) and calculators (no market for manual counting!!1) and its derivatives, including PC and smartphones
this way they can oppose the advancement of unethical machinery!
@TerminalAutism @ryo @Misato they say that the most difficult writing system is Thai one, but at least it is a single writing system, because on top of borrowing funny pictures from China Japanese invented not one, but TWO syllabaries on top of that :cry_konata:
people say that it is due to "continuity" issues but here you go, @ryo outright says that kanji go obsolete right and left, and get simplified, and all that, and it results to people not reading because Fuck That or simply being unable to, because granny used to this particular chinese picture meaning something completely different or being nonsense
also just for the note, trying to read kanji gave my SO a seizure once, "Japan hates epileptics" joke strikes again
I am just beginning to understand *some* kanji, but then my brain forgets how "ta" is in kana and this is literally a part of my username
*cries in non-Japanese*
@Misato imagine learning Japanese :pepeShotgun:
@ryo radically different ways of thinking
normies will choose "pretty and convinient" over actually functional any day of the week, autists generally wouldn't
in fact, normies do not like to think at all, and do not want to become tech-savvy
and then there are people like me, not really with autism but non-neurotypical anyway, and I perfectly understand that I won't be able to self-host or embrace HTML, because I am not tech savvy at all, so I am here on fedi, not self hosting
