I mean the "posts" I automatically see beliw the search box, *before* I enter any search term. See image. (From Android using moshidon client).

@evan @coop ok … but some form of curation must happen, otherwise this would look like thr Home feed, right? Is it curated automatically based on popularity, somehow? Or hand-curated?

Meta wants to develop *continuous* recording on their spy glasses.

I'm afraid to download some interesting #linux add-on to solve a problem … because I don't know if the app's been vetted by anyone I'd trust, whether it includes AIslop or malicious back-doors, whether it's funneling my usage stats - or, worse, my personal info - to some bad actor …

I'm among those fearful of updates now.
Quite a change: I enjoyed tech before, wrote & ran my websites. Now I'm just a retiree who wants safe computing.

@evan "cool and fun" are not the adjectives I'd use for @tagspub .

I'd say: "has potential" and "feels UNSAFE". I have added #noTagspub to my profile.

👉 I wonder how many of our cosocial.ca members realise their every hashtag is being published to all of Fedi (incl. badly moderated instances)? How many know they need #nobots or #noTagspub in order to prevent this?

I didn't see any communication to members about our having been automatically opted-in, but maybe I missed it?
