I am primarily a lurker on the license-discuss and license-review lists and let my membership lapse a while back, so no idea how much weight my opinion holds, but I think it's an entirely reasonable request to 1) not change the election format/rules on affiliates after deadlines and 2) release full election results, even if candidates were disqualified after voting ended.

@nemobis I'm optimistic too, the ball is really in the MTA's court now to actually use the $15 billion to improve transit.

Time will tell if Hochul made the right move; it was all already approved, she delayed it purely because of the Nov. election and to her credit, Dems picked up most of the winnable House seats. It's hard to tell if lowering the price afterwards actually assuaged any of the backlash, I haven't seen any evidence that it did.

I saw this tweet (https://x.com/RnaudBertrand/status/1869971055206658177) earlier today about how most people haven't heard of it how useful it is and there is no analogue in the West. My impression about the latter is that it was overblown (there weren't enough non-state media sources to tell), but I definitely didn't know about it until reading the tweet so now it's in the English Wikipedia!

This is huge despite not outright calling for a ceasefire; I'm not sure how many more wake up calls the Biden administration needs to realize how isolated and *wrong* the US is on the Israel/Palestine war.
