@cwebber I'm no expert on the US system. My understanding was that so far no court has gone down the actual contempt of court proceedings?
I'd say you are in a constitutional crisis (among all the others Trump is causing) but until he does not accept a contempt of the supreme court ruling you have not reached the full constitutional crisis?

@cwebber I'm definitely not going to "favourite" that. I hope that the courts get much tougher on these fascists.

@cwebber I wonder if it would be helpful to reframe the question "do they really have the power?" to show that they do not have legitimate power to do these terrible things but the lack of legal, legitimate power is not stopping the corrupt use of power.

@Peternimmo what is it with some people who appear to focus only on hurting anyone who is vulnerable?
I've got great trans friends and colleagues. There is so much heartbreaking stuff hurting them and the direction of travel is not encouraging.

@danlyke let's not forget to go back further and demand that the rich explain why people who work "for" them are poor.

@danlyke We have to do what we can and it isn't that I believe that I'm about to change things. I am simply trying to resist their attempts to move the Overton Window further to the hate side.

One of our users got a "too many requests" error this morning. Is that a "Mastodon" throttle"? Is it something that I can configure or a server overload or ...?

@mastohost that's great. Is it the sort of thing that typically gets released quickly?

Hi @mastohost is there a way to download and upload my servers block list.
I'd like to be able to do some bulk editing, sorting, processing. The one at a time approach of the web interface is becoming unmanageable. We have approx 200 entries and I have multiple lists of around 500 servers that I want to check and add.

@pmphillips my understanding is that the Mastodon server v4 supports translation but the server needs to have a translation service.
I don't know much about that apart from a couple of "it's expensive comments".
So I guess maybe, if I've got that right, at some point @mastohost might offer it as an add-on to our server.
I suspect that, even if my understanding is right, that it will be a low priority while growth and loads are so high.

@mastohost and now we have been upgraded. I feel faster, lighter and more able already. Oh, it was only the #Mastodon server, nevermind, it still feels good :-)

Ok https://aMastodon.uk people. You might have noticed that we are still on version 3.5.3
@mastohost ran into some issues, mainly that they released version 4.0.2 part way through the upgrades.
So we should be moving straight to the latest 4.0,2 today.
One of the most exciting new features is to be able to follow a Hashtag just as we can follow a person. Looking forward to trying that.
