   @Dave42W As described here https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/pull/19218 you need to have an API key from DeepL or Libre Translate. If you have one of those, please send them to me and I can change the configuration of your Mastodon server to use them.

     @pmphillips my understanding is that the Mastodon server v4 supports translation but the server needs to have a translation service.
     I don't know much about that apart from a couple of "it's expensive comments".
     So I guess maybe, if I've got that right, at some point @mastohost might offer it as an add-on to our server.
     I suspect that, even if my understanding is right, that it will be a low priority while growth and loads are so high.

     Is there a #plug-in to help #translating toots in languages we are not fluent in yet? I am missing the “translate tweet” button. I guess an expensive #luxury?
