Wondering if people would sign this petition. There is a proposed massive #datacentre on the beautiful banks of the Menai Straits in N #Wales. There's so much wrong with this. It's a SAC (special area of conservation). The nationalised water company Dwr Cymru have raised objections that there isn't a plan for the water... one director of the company has previous charges for 6 environmental crimes... read more on the link! Huh! I was today years old when I realised that the mighty @libreoffice has a great tool for generating QR. In a world where online QR code generators tend to re route via themselves this is an awesome tool to find! #opensource

Busy day yesterday in #Kosovo. Lectures at #FIEK and #UBT universities talking to young engineers about #opensource. Got to show my @FreeCAD and @kicad books and @rpimag projects and also went through how to apply for an @oshwassociation certification for opensource hardware. Great fun and thanks to the #sfk25 team for making it happen.

Lovely but high pressure repair morning at the #repaircafe. This doll has a ir remote and was packed full of motors etc to do gymnastic routines... one of the battery tabs had corroded to a high resitant state.... luckily surgery was successful and it performs again! 6yr old owner watched entire process nervously but was delighted when "Georgia" was repaired. Some photobombing by nice @iFixit and #Wera tools. #repair

Seeing lots of folk migrating from Github to Codeberg, codeberg is brill but seems mostly software, where would people recommend a lacklustre git user like me with a load of random hardware and documentation type repo's to go to?!
