Well considering what happened during the last elections and the recent changes in the legislative, for example the trump administration is considerating the legal right to challenge detention, I think that this is pretty bad tbh

Well compared to matrix and xmpp, where you can enable end to end encryption which requires both parties to verify. And it's not popular because it's doesn't have a sense of community, except for those that are very interesting in linux like me for example. And omg kde plasma is awesome

And tbh people don't care about their privacy anymore, even though after what happened with this elections, it's more important than ever before

I mean discord is extremely popular, just like google chrome, youtube and stuff like that. And it's impossible for a lot of people to leave when all of their friends are on discord and they don't wanna leave them for another website. I tried out matrix, it has the worst people on it that I could think of, with discord you can get a mixed of both, but it has a really good community at least to me

And discord has a very simple and easy design compared to those other social messagers you're talking about right now

I used XMPP before and I think it's really not that bad, the tricky part is finding the right providers.

I'm just curious, I'm trying to find like an easy to use arch distro I can go to later since I heard that it doesn't break that much, unless you're not good with technology.

But arch linux breaks a lot of the time, and you're forced to fix it every now and then with every single update. With Fedora, you don't have to do that at all, it's a very stable from my experience and I will continue using it until I get more familiar with linux
