     Also xfce is just significantly more comfy than kde in basically every way. Everything is tabbed, it just werks. Transparency, you have to disable zoom then it just werks. Fullscreen/borderless, it just werks.

     Trooned tbh. I tried gaming on linux mint by using the heroic game launcher but for some reason it keeps giving me errors, and it uses up more ram and more of your CPU than other distros I used.

     But arch linux breaks a lot of the time, and you're forced to fix it every now and then with every single update. With Fedora, you don't have to do that at all, it's a very stable from my experience and I will continue using it until I get more familiar with linux

     Considering it's TUI. The only thing I can think of is it's capability to display notifications in a unified manner, maybe that depends on GTK somehow. I don't mind GTK as much as you do, so I might be not aware of something here, but I'm pretty sure you can rebuild it without that.

     Ah, true! Swaybar is supposed to support tray icons, but it never worked for me and I forgot this feature even exists 😅
     In any case, it's probably a build-time option, not a hard dependency, otherwise it should be pretty minimal: ncurses + libstrophe + GnuPG + maybe something for OMEMO support.
