GhostBSD has a beautiful desktop and it supports the -al parameter for cp which is needed for rsnapshot to work right.

Pretty cool. I'm interested.

I also might try an Indie Archive install with FreeBSD and no desktop. Midnight Commander to the rescue.

I'm curious if FreeBSD will require the coreutils install to get gnu cp (gcp).

The question comes to mind.

What happens when one of the three Indie Archive systems goes belly up.

Since I had just done a Debian install of the secondary system I pretended my secondary system crashed.

I removed it and replaced it with the Debian system.

Changed the IP.

ssh noticed. I redid the key transfer from the primary and remote systems (had to use -f first) and I checked that I could log in without a password.

And then it worked.

Disabled password in ssh.
