Meh. I feel like the community has just drank the Tupperware lady's punch with #linux and keeps developing this trash "year of the desktop" bullshit that looks like Windows/Mac and is just as bloated. I'm running #nixos, very tweaked zram configuration, and #fluxbox on a shitty HP consumer laptop, and it's a FIESTY little bitch who wants to be a beefy workstation.   @verymetalsite Well...i hate marketing, and marketers. Passionately. Because I popped out of my mama and the first scent I experienced was @rms ripe pits. We need install parties, user groups, I'm doing a livecoding gig at a coffeeshop to show off the power of #linux. We need to show it off and what it can do like in the Usenet days, That will grow end-user adoption.

  Long time lover of your show!
  I'm still working on getting music back into the show (It's probably been two months? Since the show was very meaningfully musical. The fedi artists who shared their music are all incredible though.
  I think instead of me disc jockeying, I need to get artists to DJ their own/adjacent stuff live, while we also do retrofuturistic interviews, lisp, moo, gopher and things.

  Eh, I borrowed the term from https://interlisp.org - where we had Larry Masinter talking about interlisp medley, which is something like a virtual machine port of the 80s d machines to modern day. Interlisp is both futuristic and from the 80s. Actually lots of the future is from the 80s, isn't it? We need to go back to the future.
