    @ntnsndr haha yep

I asked ai about’ai enablement’ and it responded with strong cautions, advice for very narrow deployments and those only after understanding how to test ROI throughout

Even it knows it’s not going well

    Well said.

Did you see this? It seems like it’s possible for AI use to lower productivity

Measuring the Impact of Early-2025 AI on Experienced Open-Source Developer Productivity
We conduct a randomized controlled trial to understand how early-2025 AI tools affect the productivity of experienced open-source developers working on their own repositories. Surprisingly, we find that when developers use AI tools, they take 19% longer than without—AI makes them slower.

Public social media is so strange.

We scroll through all kinds of folks’ thoughts 💭 on genocide,
    bad puns,
    structural racism,
    good jokes,
    cute furry friends,
    gorgeous pictures,
    current political clusterfucks,
    climate breakdown,
    mental breakdowns,
    astonishing luck,
    trolls,
    economic desperation,
    friendly conversations,
    and more.

    Within a minute.

    Emotional rollercoasters!

Why do we accept this digital strip mining of the context in which healthy communities thrive?

Our tech cooperative, https://www.socialroots.io/, is building a social coordination network for cross-group work.

I’d love to talk with more #SociotechnicalStack nerds about aspects we consider key to ethical social network dev and ownership:

What parts of group data governance are vital?

What are the biggest hurdles to humans with the agency necessary for self-organizing?

What intimacy gradients matter most to you? How do you navigate them?

Reach me here; boosts for reach much appreciated!

Been thinking a lot about intimacy gradients and human groups and relationships this month, both digital and otherwise.

Do you have thoughts/ good takes/ source links/ etc for interesting and useful ways to investigate this concept?

Hey what are your favorite tools and processes for coordinating and resource sharing?

I’ve been pondering on this article contrasting the network state with a network society and want to discover how folks think about doing things that support this kind of distributed sharing.

    The second: “On Stupidity”

“We do not have too much intellect and too little soul, but too little precision in matters of the soul.”

    Money in politics.
    Corruption in courts.
    Racism.
    Misogyny.

    And more..
