Attempt #2 at creating a restaurant quality pizza at home:
I made another New York style. This when turned moderately better then attempt one, but when transferring from the peel to the stone, it got stuck to the peel and I had to manually transfer it, which is why it resulted in this heart shape.
This time I used actual pizza flour, so it tasted a lot less soggy. But the dough still raised more than I expected. In fact it was rising BEFORE I stuck in it the oven because I was preheating the oven so high and for so long, the surrounding area was hot enough to cause the dough to rise. I also used a much better balance of mozzarella, parmesan, and romano, and it tasted much better than the previous attempt as a result.
It still wasn't exactly the way I wanted it. It seems like you really need that high-gluten bread flour which you need to order directly from a farm or ask a local pizza shop to sell a spear bag for you. I don't feel like doing either of those, but it seems like it's the only option. Maybe I can order a bag online somewhere.
Either way, it was a major improvement, but I plan to do better.
NEWSFLASH:
After 14 years in power, the U.K.’s Conservative government is on track for its worst-ever election result.
It is now projected to be replaced by the Labour party, led by Keir #Starmer.
Amidst anxiety around declining international support for #Ukraine, and the replacement of the U.K.’s Conservative government, Ukraine supporters couldn’t be blamed for wanting to know how a Labour victory could affect the country’s foreign policy.
@thomasfuchs I’m certainly not making any claims about it being/becoming a mainstream thing ^^ It’s something that has potential if it became more convenient.
I identify more of as a hobbyist when it comes to VR and things, and have way more tolerance for things not being perfect as a result.
It does afford some very special experiences already today if ones willing to put up with a bit. There’s so much art and creativity within VR worlds to experience, which makes me personally quite happy.
@Jens_Rasmussen
Well, it cannot be downloaded. That's the entire point of that kind of software.
All you get is the UI, but after you send the request, all the computation is done on server without any possible way of you decoding it, and you get a result.
It does have advantages. For instance, Nvidia allows you to stream new games straight to your phone. There is no way, your phone could handle Hitman 3, but you can play it now. But it also means, that your phone doesn't know anything about the game except for, what to show on the screen.
It's the ultimate DRM.
@NEETzsche @BlinkRape
But the issue remains. Worldbuilding rules are one of the toold needed to achieve the result.
It's just one step, that is ignored much easier then special effects, sound, composition etc. But it has the same effect.
