@sun@shitposter.world I'll pass on the article about the CIA jump servers to mimic foreign attacks, and their corresponding leaked docs whenever I dig that up.
@sun@shitposter.world Well in any case if you want to talk to their actual propaganda desk, the closest I know of is https://x.com/zhao_dashuai/ literally PLA propaganda team. They're not denying they have online propaganda presence going I just have noticed this sort of Russia/China hacker/botnet narrative being planted for years in mags like Wired. Anything which is a source of gee whiz soyboy facts gets consumed uncritically by a lot of tech/it/cybersec pros and varying degrees of Stallmanoids Like look at this shit lol: https://archive.today/www.wired.com/story/north-korea-hacker-internet-outage/ They've even set up "jump servers" to mimic cyberattacks from our designated foreign boogeymen
@sun@shitposter.world@7666@comp.lain.la BTW I literally am connected to the Chinese Mastodon instances and no shit, they're just normal people, try it. Translation's good 80% of the time
@7666@comp.lain.la Well, Israelis are trying to justify an ongoing genocide, so they're pretty aggressive about it, they call it "hasbara". As far as the defense of China keep in mind the allegations being launched at them are pretty ridiculous and inflammatory, China is being slandered by the Falun Gong, they're as bad as Scientologists. Plus ETIM and Mike Pompeo and the rest if the GOP. The USA has a lot of reasons to lie about China having 1.) slavery 2.) genocide 3.) ethnic cleansing 4.) a prison-industrial complex. It gives us something to deflect to when people criticize us for it. I just found this post from the global feed. China, Cuba, and Nicaragua are fun countries to defend. They deserve it. The slander is crazy.
@BeAware@social.beaware.live@mackuba@martianbase.net@ExpertPlus@mementomori.social i've been hearing out crypto guys for years about setting up some kind of cool mechanism that's an alternative to SWIFT or other international payment systems but as it stands a lot of it has been riding on hidden information (is satoshi even real lol or just some financial holding firm??) and mistaken hype (thinking bitcoin is anonymous when ten+ years later feds can still claw back money from silk road), many ponzi schemes in the ecosystem, seems like a big way post-destruction of retirement/mortgages to get people to put their money into financial speculation so far have not heard a great candidate for a coin that provides more safety and stability to international trade with freedom from the US, but that's the kind of shit i'm interested in. stuff that facilitates secure decentralized transactions between states outside the neocolonial financial structure i have let guys show me PREZIS for gods sake alright i'm hearing em out.
@dcc@annihilation.social It's not bait I think it's funny to dump this on a completely random conversation just because of the word doomer. You are free to go I am not an officer of the law.
@dcc@annihilation.social I'm not fucking around this is about modes of production. I'm not posting It's Over Westfallen memes. I'm talking about the apogee of colonial military power. We passed it. Financial neocolonial power is experiencing critical instabilities and trying to resolve them makes it worse. There are broad political coalitions forming against neoliberals, both domestically and internationally. Maybe that just makes it more confusing. 🤠
@BeAware@social.beaware.live@ExpertPlus@mementomori.social Yeah, it's strange they seem to think being larger than a few smaller instances makes them the Twitter replacement. I guess they have what's important to them: opaque user-hostile centrist technocrat moderation, Jack, and crypto spammers. Oh, and Wint. This is like bragging that Bitchute seems to be more active than a random instance you tried to use on https://sepiasearch.com/ these same people complaining about the minor learning curve will spend the rest of their tenure posting on Bsky complaining about issues they placed out of their own control.
@dcc@annihilation.social It's not doom, old timer. The millenia-long (which is to say "not very long") era of European supremacy is waning. Everyone's just got to get with the times.
