Grateful to live in a city area full of people and restaurants and neat things and activism, but also just a few miles away from woods and ponds and places where I can hang out with red-winged blackbirds and this chonky lil bud.

The hard part about being away is leaving this little goober alone, but I love coming back to his squashy Mushroom face.

I contain multitudes and they are all of them tired.

@skinnylatte I know so many people who firmly believe eggs are only for the morning (with the exception of egg salad, I guess?) and I don’t understand how they survive.

@Fragglemuppet And yeah, I agree there is a need for self-awareness and reading the room, so to speak. But getting yelled at for it on social media is BS and I’m sorry that happened.

@Fragglemuppet Exactly! Rest is absolutely necessary and deserved, but because you are an alive person, not because you’re a weapon that needs to be recharged.

I see people unwilling or ashamed to share their joyous moments right now, like anything that’s not constant, active resistance is somehow frivolous and shows a lack of commitment.

But isn’t that why we’re doing all this? At the end of the day, I don’t resist fascism to prove them wrong or prove my worth, I’m doing it so I can live. So that other people can live a life full of those good moments.

Joy and living isn’t just a necessary component to fighting fascism. It’s the whole point.
