   I see people unwilling or ashamed to share their joyous moments right now, like anything that’s not constant, active resistance is somehow frivolous and shows a lack of commitment.

   But isn’t that why we’re doing all this? At the end of the day, I don’t resist fascism to prove them wrong or prove my worth, I’m doing it so I can live. So that other people can live a life full of those good moments.

   Joy and living isn’t just a necessary component to fighting fascism. It’s the whole point.

     @jcho Right. Even people who say, "rest is necessary, it's okay to take a moment sometimes!" are closer to getting it, but still missing the point.

     As for me, I'm not afraid to show it much, but when I do hesitate it's either because I'm afraid of showing my privilege, or occasionally though not so much anymore I'm afraid of being yelled at. That did happen once on Twitter.

     @Fragglemuppet Exactly! Rest is absolutely necessary and deserved, but because you are an alive person, not because you’re a weapon that needs to be recharged.

     @jcho I also had the realization, or is it rediscovery? last night while watching Jim Henson's memorial that a light person is who I am, and there's nothing wrong with that! Maybe making people smile and find reasons to be happy is my way of resisting, and that's a good thing!

     @Fragglemuppet And yeah, I agree there is a need for self-awareness and reading the room, so to speak. But getting yelled at for it on social media is BS and I’m sorry that happened.
