    @hidden You're the expert on trees around here, and I got questions. I want to plant some trees, but I got uncooperative neighbors that like to chop them down for the timber. So I was thinking it might be a good idea to grow them in a way that they were not worth chopping them down for timber. Is this feasible?

    I guess I could always send them a package, but I'm looking for alternatives :thinkbird:

    @pwm Best of all is I came up with this "solution" because I read about something similar in some deranged schizo's blog post about getting his electric guitar to work with linux. It'd probably have taken me days to fix this instead of hours.

    I don't think there's saving me at this point. It's my turn to become the deranged schizo that posts obscure tutorials about pipewire.

    @pwm Not quite... it's a concept album that's a single song divided into movements. The end of one movement leads seamlessly into the other, there shouldn't be a gap. It's there bc of mistake, ripping the disc or otherwise.

    @pwm Could it be pipewire? Audacity uses ALSA alone since it doesn't support pipewire :thinkbird:

    @pwm It's just flac files. Nothing exotic. VLC also adds a gap between the 2nd and 3rd movement, PLUS between the 3rd and 4th. Worse than mpd.

    @pwm It's indeed an issue with pipewire. Once I changed to ALSA, no gaps. Linux audio be damned :guratired:

I got water running again, I finished reading a webnovel so I'm free from the clutches of slop for a while, so I'm now thinking of designing machines; I'm rapidly improving my physical condition from all that mountain climbing, I'm in good health and my cat is sleeping next to me right now.
