@solidsanek @eSheep Was it the first few minutes? Up is my favorite of the pixar films mainly because of how well that intro is done. A lifetime condensed into such a carefully composed montage with so much attention to giving away just enough about the highs and the lows that at the end of it, you're kind of primed to relate to what's in the head and the heart of a fairly complicated character.

@SuperDicq I think it's less about the expense and more about the novelty- we stare at screens every day, so less inherent novelty and it is a bit sad to see that style gone (at least for now). I'm sure it'll still be quite a fun show though, have fun.

@SuperDicq I'm not able to read it, so I was just drawing conclusions based on the images accompanying the story. A friend in ireland just saw miku very recently and I imagine if she'd been in holo form at that show I'dve found out pretty quick.

@icedquinn I'm certainly not fond of its overuse, though it became personal when the Diablo 3 beta first released and it became evident that they wanted to abandon the very strong art direction of 2 in favor of that aesthetic. That said I've never heard of Stormgate and a well made ugly RTS is better than nothing, RTS isn't exactly a star genre these days. I doubt I'll ever play it but they have an uphill battle either way.

@icedquinn RTS game made by high profile RTS devs having broken off for their own studio- the odds already weren't good so they may as well make whatever decision they were gonna make confidently. I still remember Universe At War. Petroglyph didn't collapse because of it, but they've been chasing lightning since they started out and have never recaptured command and conquer.

I do a lot of other things in my spare time, because that's easy to do when you never follow through on wild ideas.
