I host #Gitea for myself, was considering Forgejo when that whole Gitea/Forgejo civil war occured but I was already up and running with Renovate configured and everything... I kinda wonder how much they've splintered from each other now.

@kainisenni from what I'd seen discussed elsewhere, They already *had* a from-scratch Azure linux distro in the cloud compute space for quite some time, and their tooling overlaps with Fedora so much that they're just gonna rebase onto that instead of maintaining the same stuff twice.

I feel like they can reap the benefits of uBlue's cloud-first Bluefin/Bazzite/Aurora development pipelines that way too if they wanted, because those are Fedora-based too.

@padraig Requested deletion on my account today. I don't really know what I'm going to replace it with, but I had already been using it less and less anyway.

As someone that has been avoiding all things AI and LLM in general, I finally swapped over from Google Assistant to Gemini, and honestly, it's kinda okay.

I don't trust it, and will definitely avoid using it for anything important or feeding it personal information, but it handled the few stupid queries I threw at it over the last two days quite gracefully. I'll probably treat it like a google search replacement.

I'll also roast it for each and every ✨hallucinated slop✨ answer it serves up.

Trakt.tv made its V3 re-design the default, and I don't really like it much.

It looks like someone tried design for a smart TV, but with the intention of making you walk up to your screen and squint at everything to read it.

I was already moving towards using a self-hosted Watcharr instance to track my media habits instead, but was sticking around for the "Upcoming Schedule" section you could read at a glance (that Watcharr doesn't have) but this isn't an improvement.

@flwwhtrbt as much as people champion Valve for their PC gaming efforts, I kinda think the steam userbase at a hivemind level is unbelievably shitty and toxic and we just pretend it's not a thing.

@kilroy_was_here You could fire it all through https://beets.io/ and hope it tags the metadata correctly, but I found it easier to just manually match stuff with MusicBrainz Picard when sorting mine.

Too much music is probably not the worst problem to have 😆

@kilroy_was_here Navidrome's WebUI basically revolves around albums, which might suit your style better, but I'm not sure how well it would handle your huge music library; It *really* needs well tagged music files, and using a self-hosted streaming service instead of a media player is a bit overkill too.
