    @pom @KaiserKitty X11 has PageFlip, a feature for rendering fullscreen windows directly to your framebuffer (DRM) without needing to go through X11. A zero-copy output. Nothing can get faster than this

    @KaiserKitty @pom why is it called "tearing control"... The compositor support chart seems odd, no support on Mutter and GameScope - the former being the most usable Wayland environment, the latter being a game-oriented one

    @KaiserKitty that's mental illness. Who in their mind would associate Wayland with gaming? I can only associate it with terrible latency, software incompatibility and session lockout
