@sun Rightist media says that Peanut was licensed and vaccinated, only awaiting a paperwork for an approved enclosure. It's a government overreach even in detail. Also, even if keeping a squirrel were illegal, so what? Looting and arson are illegal too. Heck, crossing the border is illegal, come to think of it. But they give a debit card for hotel for those illegals and execute this illegal. Such bullshit. I guess the upside is that the owners weren't shot by the police during the raid.
@noyoushutthefuckupdad Margarita Simonyan, the leader of the Putin's propaganda TV conglomerate "RT", claimed a few days ago that she fired all her human anchors. So every talking head in her videos is AI generated. Moreover, AI opens up accounts on social media for these manufactured identities. According to Simonyan, AI hosts saved RT a significant amount of money.
@leyonhjelm@bot@sun I know about Greenwald because he was using sock puppet accounts in order to praise himself in blog comments back when blogs mattered. Someone made a hilarious skit where two sock puppets talk about something unrelated (a pirates movie) and Glenn Greenwald pops in as a sock puppet and exclaims "how dare you criticize Glenn Greenwald! Senator Such-and-such read from my blog during hearings!" So one of them asks "Did you mean his blog?" Then he disappears and reappears with a fake mustache. It was pretty great. What a way to become famous.
I think he worked for Al-Guardian at the time. So he always was a journalist, and you know that no matter how much you hate journalists, it's never enough. Now that the antisemitism is getting mainstream, he is suddenly becoming famous yet again. Top 10 Anime Comebacks!
@sun I am in an online circle where everyone call themselves "bigots". As in "I'm going to share this funny video with you bigots", "I think some of the bigots may want to know this ...", and such. They are mostly gamers who got together playing DOTA2.
@sun@phnt@Nudhul It's a gigantic misconception. Euro houses can't withstand squat. Especially, the earthquakes (if they had them), or tornadoes. You'll just get a bunch of bricks left, looking like Hamburg after WW2.
@sun My mechanic's wife replaced a stall warning switch in my airplane. Nobody else had forearms and wrists small enough to rich. I tried it myself. There's space, around it, but the access is through a small inspection panel, and a whole forearm with elbow must fit into the compartment.
@sun How young a child are we talking about? Working at an associated factory was mandatory in high schools when I was 16. I worked at a local truck pool, and my (future) wife worked at a toy factory, jamming steering wheels onto toy tractors. I learned how easy it is to strip an M12 bolt that attached transmission to engine on a ZiL 5-ton truck. My supervisor was not very happy.
@feld Not dropping only makes them pay 10x more lol. If they were popular among Americans of African origin, it would've been a disparate impact lawsuit right there.
@sun@goo@Binder@feld@jeffcliff@tk My grandfather once healed a guy with tuberculosis with exercise. IIRC he was from East Germany and came to Soviet Russia to die in some kind of weird story. My grandfather was the coach of the national T&F team, and an author of books about exercise. He looked and deemed that the guy didn't go too far yet, could be salvaged with appropriate training that included breathing. Actual tuberculosis, with the spit collector bottle.
