   Related to Ai-tools for programming (not coding) do you use them? If so which?

     @waifu those two words are interchangeable in every case I'm aware of. You're probably thinking of "scripting"

     @waifu I used to use copilot but it's heavily degraded recently. I've been trying jetbrains AI with Claude 7whatever. It seems much more competent but it's quite slow and you have to be really deliberate. It's not like copilot where it just becomes part of your typing process.
     
     What is special about cursor? How is it different than vscode with extensions?

     @PunishedD @waifu the lines are so heavily blurred these days I no longer make a distinction between the two. Unreal calls C++ "script".
     
     The practical consensus seems to be that code which is closer to your actual application and is for only one purpose is considered script.

     @RustyCrab @waifu The way I learned it was, if the lines you write are interpreted then displayed, it's scripting. If they're executed, it's coding or programming.
     
     (An exception is a specific use scripting language, like the ones used within games.)

     @waifu just slap any of the neovim distros. They are mostly similar with different keybinds. Personally I use astronvim but lazyvim is also a great option. And then setup the plugin https://dev.to/ottercyborg/neovim-my-setup-for-developer-assistant-with-local-language-models-2nim
