@kingrat that paper is… a mixed bag. I don’t hate it outright like many do. They have some good shit. But politically they swing too moderate for me.

Every morning I wake up to a headline that could be translated to “Trump puts things back the way they were and stocks rally” or “Trump continues to do his dumb plan and stocks tank”.

I’m going to need every SF political journalist to stop calling things they don’t like “right wing”. About the only mayoral candidate who you could plausibly lobby that claim at Is Mark Farrell. And even he’s liberal when it comes to LGBTQ+ support. London Breed isn’t “right wing”. Her and Daniel Lurie are, by SF standards, moderates — which at a national level means they’re still very much to the left-of-center.

There’s a reason they’ve nicknamed the abandoned car wash at Divisidero and Fell “Dean Acres”.

I like a lot of Dean’s policies. And thank him for supporting car free JFK and the Great Highway. (But those aren’t in his district anyways.)

But people are angry about housing. And most don’t care to look into the details.
