    Ringo and George, definitely not. The other two - well, Paul was going to write saccharine show tunes regardless, but for all of the negatives, I think John was better off for having been a Beatle, at least up until he was murdered. That put a damper on the whole deal.

    He cleaned them up, transformed them from a Hamburg dance hall band that knew 1,000 songs into a band that changed the world. They had the talent, he knew the biz.

    As for the pills, well, John and Paul were hanging with Dylan and that crew so I don't think Brian was the main guy in that process. John was in incredible pain so he really, really wanted something to ease that pain.

    My first dog died back in 2008. I, too, was crushed. A couple of weeks later a friend brought me a fluffly black and White puppy and what do you know - taking care of a Border Collie puppy absorbed all of my time and prevented me from grieving any more.

    This time is different, as if I add 16 years to my current age I would have to live into my late 80s to take proper care of a new dog. The odds of me living that long are not good. So no more dogs for this old boy.

    I lost my 16 year old Border Collie/Aussie mix and it will take extreme circumstances for me to get another dog. They are too awesome and they leave us too soon.

    Her name was Boudreaux and she was an absolute treat - very smart, very agile and very active. We walked and ran hundreds of miles together she was the best dog ever, except of course, for your dogs.
