I've been contemplating ways the #Fediverse can and/or needs to expand. I'm working with schools in partnership to use #Mastodon for instructional purposes. @ryanc seems that's really more a "Freedom from information" act, although I can imagine the overhead burden being weaponized by one firm against another, so I get the limitation from a resource perspective. Generally, broadly, it seems there should be a way to begin to satisfy the need with less burden more incrementally? Maybe not. The idea here is simply segment / separate requests with a goal of getting to a bigger objective. This tactic is my "elephant eating" approach, for obvious reasons.

@ryanc gotcha. generally something that "should" be possible with a standard discovery request process for public records, essentially, then?

I would say the exact same thing: for EMR / electronic health records and medical history. Far more nefarious, both invisible and obfuscated IMHO... and further, an EMP response is almost impossible for almost everyone in the States. ⚡

How will US government significantly reduce the debt-to-GDP ratio? Fixing the trend should be a priority. This is where #government needs to direct politics & take action IMHO. Perhaps this is something our OIG is responsible for helping the head of the GAO understand, the Comptroller General of the US? Somewhere in the halls of government this responsibility lands with substantial force.
