Other people have pointed out how they don't fit within Fedi's main circles, but I feel that art communities in general are more vibrant the more people there are. Misskey.io (excluding loli slop) has such nice art because it has one of the only large art communities on Fedi. Twitter was a major art hub at the time due to the sheer amount of artists to find there, and Bluesky is emerging to do the same because it also has a lot of artists. Meanwhile, though there is also a lot of talented artists on Fedi, too, thereare no large art communities that newcomer artists can safely sign up for.
