@PNS From what I recall from a pre-pandemic HBO documentary on LV's Chicken Ranch, they were generally charging about $3K/day but prices were negotiable (usually more) & very few clients were trusted with ho's offsite. They still had visit the ranch 1st to prepay for legal reasons. If it was a slow week, ho's still made more & con'd the John into buying them expensive clothes, food, gifts. Still a lot of now paid downtime just hanging around him too.
@PNS they need to first design a new super tall span so new Chinese omega class giant super cargo ships can pass under the bridge. This disruption is no doubt changing the price of commercial land around the bay. See who's selling high and buying low for later when the port utility shifts back. It's like having a lemonade stand on a detour road for the duration then move it back to the main drag once the crisis ends.
@PNS sometimes I'm amazed how long Arrested Development ran considering Jessica Walter had a long-running curse and casting her meant the show died soon after the pilot. It goes all the way back to when she was young in 1978 and the first attempt at a Doctor Strange TV pilot.
washed out brownish-green color palette, pixelated shadows, blocky simplified shapes on buildings and objects, and that characteristic PS2-era draw distance fog that fades everything into haze beyond 50 meters. Surfaces should look smooth and plastic with stretched low-res textures. Everything should feel like a 2004 RenderWare engine screenshot at 480p resolution.
Transform only the background of this image to look exactly like GTA San Andreas gameplay on PlayStation 2. Keep the person completely photorealistic and unmodified. The background must stay the exact same scene but re-rendered with: very low polygon 3D models, extremely blurry and muddy low-resolution textures, harsh flat lighting with no ambient occlusion, visible jagged edges on all geometry, heavy distance fog,
Updated my #python#Mastodon Toot #Deleter to accept Y-m-d dates as well as 'n days ago' to date bracket a given hashtag's toots to be deleted. It already skips favorited, bookmarked, pinned 1s.
mastodon.fetch_next() won't page if you pass account_statuses() both args max_id & min_id. You only get 1st (max_id's most recent) page. Args can be Toot ID's or datetimes as I do here. Instead set max_id & check for min_id (a stop date) vs each toot['created_at'] date in your process loop to end a run.
HaHa, I tried to do Delete & Repost a toot & it rate limited me. oh yeah my toot deleter was running, it was napping 5 minutes before trying again. Usually it can delete 30..33 toots before being rate limited. Then it naps 5 min. Usually has to wait 4..5 times before it can work another page of toots. So that's ~33 toots every 30 minutes. Each rate limit hit skips a toot, need to fix that but a 2nd run picks 'em up anyway. I should parameterize nap time too. Del'd most of 2025's toots, on 2024
@PNS@Killer_Mule Lemme park my semi nearby and flip on the old footwarmer and hit ya with 1000 watts of RF off this vertical omni antenna. Yeah thats likely what happened to ya.
@PNS reminds me of when the Jefferson Airplane singer Grace Slick was invited using her birth name to the White House Rose Garden for some formal event involving Nixon's daughter who surprisingly had attended school with Grace. So Grace's +1 was Abby Hoffman and they secretly planned to get Nixon to drop acid. The Secret Service turned Abby away at the gate due to him being a known counterculture security risk.
@Djeep@PNS@lord_nougat This is an out of context problem. So few today will understand the message. Mostly because they don't have fathers and if they did they would be too soy to understand why the child had to hold the flashlight for the father.
You mean they didn't Siri for the repairman? No child, they actually fixed their own things requiring the use of both hands at once. No headband or glove flashlights, that's why they had you. And to change TV channels before remote controls.
@PNS can't wait for the zoning commission to tell him to tear it down because it's below the 750 square foot minimum in the harmonized International building code. At 350 square feet it's way smaller than even the vintage southern shotgun shack houses you can still find in New Orleans. The unaffordable mcmansion craze was purely builder profit greed enabled by a new metal joint mount that doubled room spans. This trick sub-subdivides the land to max profit from all that can't afford a mcmansion.
