     @ZeroSum06 Damn, he’s almost 60. I remember watching an interview with him when he was 27 and laid out what he wanted to do. Then he went and did it. Much respect for that. Very little respect these days as he’s succumbed to useful idiot syndrome

     @BoredStupid career progression, he does alot of soundtracks now, he's a composer, trained on classic piano since childhood, you could see this bubbling up 24 years ago in the amazing instrumentals on The Fragile

     @ZeroSum06 I do love a lot about his catalog, but after Watchmen soundtrack everything has felt a little flat to me. But his politics are abhorrent and the irony of Year Zero kills me despite how musically amazing I think that album is.

     I’m quite a bit of an oddity for a NIN fan. My top 3 albums are Hesitation Marks, Year Zero, and The Downward Spiral. Not necessarily in that order, not that I could put them in an order. I think it’s mostly a texture/overall sound thing

     @BoredStupid I haven't been keeping up with the soundtracks as much but I do understand his role is to provide the soundscape to someone else's vision. HM, YZ & TDS are all great albums. I mean we're not paying him for his takes on politics. I heard an Al Jourgensen interview yesterday where he was spouting pro-mandate drivel from the covid era. I don't agree, I don't care, I move on and enjoy life.

     @ZeroSum06 Marriage really saved his life. There is a documentary and the guys from Ministry are in it saying how while they were doing all sorts of hard drugs on the road they were scared that Trent was going to kill himself or OD on the tour bus.
