I don't think there was any question this is what she and the campaign would do. This yet another benefit of Trump being so incredibly stupid, never thinking things trough. He's boxed himself in with no good outcome for him.

His best option is to drop out of the race and move to Moscow to evade extradition.

No, no, no, no. Never, EVER give the petulant child bully Trump what he wants. This is how he was able to get away so much shit in the past, because people would pacify him just so he won't make a scene. You hold him to the terms of the agreement. Period. When (not if) he reneges, Kamala gets a free national air time to show what a petty coward he is while he throws a tantrum at a rally.

My takeaway from the monumental prisoner exchange...

It showed me that Biden is NOT too old and diminished capacity to continue as president. I think what it did show is that he's too old to be spending so much time and energy on the rigors of campaigning while doing the onerous duties of the office. Now that he's been relieved of running for re-election, Biden can continue to do his work as the most effective POTUS in history.

There was no shortage of us who have been screaming to reform the SC ever since Mitch McConnell abused his power to stack it. Now the proposal is either "too little, too late", or, "better late than never", but we all know it has no shot until the republicans are voted out of the majority in Congress. But at least the ball gets rolling.

This is similar to the hijackers on 9/11. They utilized FAA rules and regulations on what was allowed to carry on board and the standard procedures for hijacking attempts to their advantage.

We're in flight on a hijacked electoral system right now.

So what was the deciding factor for J.D. Vance getting the rose from Trump in the VP reality show? I'm guessing it was the assassination attempt, thinking that having Vance next in line for succession might act a deterrent, fending off any more attempts on his Trump's life.
