@greyknight I think it was a few months ago the Epic Store put them up as free games of the week. Wouldn't be surprised if they do so again in the future @IcyGrillz@coolboymew@Dan_Ramos
@greyknight I literally have a Thursday reminder to take the 2min to check what's free. A large chunk are indy titles I've never heard of but particularly around holidays they'll often put out AAA games and even rotate free games daily for a week. GTA 5 being free in 2020 got me to check it out, and they've had plenty of other franchises free like Tomb Raider, Fallout, Bioshock, and many more. @IcyGrillz@coolboymew@Dan_Ramos
@greyknight I've gotten a couple free games on GOG, but haven't delved into it as much. Definitely would prefer supporting them over other game stores/launchers. I play a mix of games new and old/lower reqs, and usually stick with titles I like for a long while. Going to be making the switch to Linux for my next desktop build, so I'm sure that will change what I have available, but I'm okay with that. @coolboymew@Dan_Ramos@IcyGrillz
@greyknight Hey, whatever works for you. I build for longevity and performance. Went near/just under top of the line when I built my desktop nigh 8 years ago and still runs great with the exception of needing to swap out the GPU that started crapping out after 5 years heavy use @coolboymew@Dan_Ramos@IcyGrillz
@p Sometimes getting something to work involves ugly hacks. I'm not proud of some of the dark arts I had to perform in CSS to get the frontend looking good in a hackathon once.
For those who, like me, have zero plans to use Windows 11, these guys were issuing micropatches as long as MicroSoft had extended support for Windows 7, and they'll be doing the same for 10. Oh, and at a much more reasonable rate than Microsoft is charging. https://0patch.com/
@Pi_rat Nice. Definitely feels worth the price tag for what I've played of it and where it's going. Waiting for more details on the "Additional DLC," before deciding on the extra $15 for that and the soundtrack. @p@Kirino
@p, I'm sure I've said it before, but if we're in the same area, I'd happily buy you a drink and hang out. I feel like we'd have some fun conversations
@djsumdog Patience is a virtue in that game. Next time, try looking at a recommended route guide and don't be afraid to mark and wait to go back to a tough boss (seriously, the map markers are great for remembering to go back to places you didn't finish). That Tree Sentinel at the start is best faced at level 25+ if memory serves. If you tried going straight to Stormwind after the first soldier camp, explore around more, especially to the south on the peninsula.
