You CAN say "Small/Medium/Large", I've seen people do that. If you wanna use the proper size names, they go "Tall/Grande/Venti". (12 floz, 16 floz, 20 floz) You can see the size names on the menu on the screens.

Usually Grande is the one to go for, in my opinion, as it's usually not that much more expensive than Tall and feels about right.

So here you'd ask for a "Pumpkin Spice Latte, Grande"

On some drinks, they might ask if you want whipped cream. Just say yes or no. A few baristas ask if you want it hot or cold too, but usually they assume hot. They might ask your name to write it on the cups, some stores don't take names though.

In France, they also ask if you wanna eat here, because they have glasses there. In other countries I've experienced though, they always use paper cups.

That's as far as it goes in terms of interactions. Now you can be mentally prepared!

Doing coffee science this morning. I'm gonna be making a bunch of coffee cups with various settings to find what works best

So I tried various grind sizes and amounts of coffee and I found that you can actually grind really really fine on an Aeropress with a Prismo attachment, and it tastes good

Questions that I wanna answer
- How does the taste changes if I let the coffee infuse in the Aeropress vs. if I stir it
- What's the ideal grind size for milk drinks
- What's the ideal amount of coffee for milk drinjs

Will do more coffee experiments in the future,. especially I wanna compare how infusion time affects the brew

And, like, bars don't work like that, fast food don't work like that, why should cafés work like that.

I think pictures are key. Starbucks have amazing pictures of their drinks and that makes it less daunting to order weird stuff.

Honestly it's sad how most coffee places content themselves to serve only basic drinks with espresso and steamed milk, maybe chocolate if you're lucky.

That's like if you went to a burger place and they just had hamburger, cheeseburger, double hamburger, and double cheeseburger.

I wish more cafés made weird coffee drinks like Starbucks does.

Turns out if your laptop is pressed too hard, the keyboard might leave permanent marks on the screen. Don't do the mistake I did, put a microfibre cloth over the keyboard if you're gonna put the laptop in a very full bag where it might get squished.
