   Honestly it's sad how most coffee places content themselves to serve only basic drinks with espresso and steamed milk, maybe chocolate if you're lucky.
   
   That's like if you went to a burger place and they just had hamburger, cheeseburger, double hamburger, and double cheeseburger.
   
   I wish more cafés made weird coffee drinks like Starbucks does.

     I think pictures are key. Starbucks have amazing pictures of their drinks and that makes it less daunting to order weird stuff.

     @iro_miya@mk.absturztau.be Not gonna lie I think generally speaking in the European the more south you go the better quality the coffee gets.
     
     The Netherlands is one of the top coffee consumers per capita of the world (together with all the Scandinavian countries), but seeing the slop that some of my coworkers manage to drink 7 cups a day of, our coffee culture is definitely quantity of quality.

     And, like, bars don't work like that, fast food don't work like that, why should cafés work like that.
