If we are only speaking of Hamas, I don't see them as the problem, I see them as a consequence to Israel's behavior. Let us not forget Hamas is a political party, elected, similar to the Democrats and Republicans. The Hamas fighter are more of an internal security force. Hamas is the local government. I believe in self determination, who am I to enforce my will on them. It is their choice, if they elect the Hamas party, who am I to object?

I don't think they are getting their ass handed to them, they are taking very heavy civilian losses. If daddy was not helping Israel it would be a different story. It sound as if we see 10-7 differently. Under international law you a the right to defend yourself from an occupying force. Don't assume all death and mayhem were to result of Hamas, once the walls were breached anyone could enter Israel, Israel is surrounded by pissed off Arabs with generational grudges.
