I’m unreasonably excited about this. We’ve ordered a new digital thermometer and when I went to insert the batteries I spotted six little golden pads in the battery bay.

What secrets lie behind those pins? Can my new thermometer run Doom?

@slothrop on iOS at least, it’s deliberately missing so they don’t have to give Apple a cut.

Instead, the “workflow” is to mark the the album as a favourite, wait for the email about new items on your wish list, then click on the link in the email to view it in your browser and buy it from there.

@slothrop If you want a list of what not to do, I’m up to my neck in reverse engineering VanMoof component communications.
