   I’m unreasonably excited about this. We’ve ordered a new digital thermometer and when I went to insert the batteries I spotted six little golden pads in the battery bay.

   What secrets lie behind those pins? Can my new thermometer run Doom?

     @mike Six test points for a thermometer? It may be able to de-frame satellite communications. I'm leaning in the "can play Doom" direction.
