@Gargron Any reason why? If there's accounts you don't like there, we have pretty extensive blocking features, including adding ATProto blocklists that pre-block a lot of negative accounts.

@evan my assumption was that the context is online social networks rather than something broader! But, I think the point still stands that without people, the other P's hold no value, but people hold value regardless of all the other P's.

What is the value of a language if no one ever exists to speak it?

Love seeing interest in bridging on Forkiverse! As Olivia noted, we have a 7-day waiting period for new users to avoid spam accounts. But, we trust the good folks on the Forkiverse, so we're going to exempt the instance from that waiting period 🙂

Writing about why the existence of Bounce is so personal for me, and it's been tough to relive memories of the communities I've lost.

The web is a beautiful place, but it's always at risk of being stolen from us. I feel so fortunate to be a part of a coalition of builders + users fighting for it.

The most unfortunate part of these decentralization convos is how much erasure there is of all the independent ATProto devs working hard to detach the open social web from any one organization or person

We're ramping up our funding efforts at @anewsocial to ensure we can run Bridgy Fed and Bounce for the long run.

As a non-profit, we want to be as community-funded as possible, so we're focusing on ways to make that easier.
