@joeyh @cwebber I want to love git-annex, but I screwed up when I tried it once or twice.
Maybe this is a case where my knowledge gap is so big that videos would help?
Do you know of any off-hand?
I suppose I should look for myself...

@spritely @cwebber I invited my panel of expert video game reviewers (read: my sons) to check out Cirkoban.
Great suff!
They got pretty sucked into it :)
@cwebber @fdr @lotte @spritely indeed, too much emphasis on perimeter security is unhealthy, but capability patterns include membranes, caretakers and such - indirect connectivity.
@fdr @lotte @cwebber @spritely so you're sharing your IPv6 address with the world? Your device is directly exposed to every adversary in the world at all times?
@dthompson thanks for "Optimizing Guile Scheme" https://dthompson.us/posts/optimizing-guile-scheme.html
I found it while researching (gradual) static typing for #guile .
whew! back from holiday travel just in time to set up my @spritely contribution before the year ends.
Go shepherd+goblins! Go pre-scheme! Go

@ntnsndr careful! The headline here looks like there's a coherent position to take against RCV.
This us buried: "This is not a debate about RCV in the abstract but specifically about its current and potential implementation in these contexts."
@ntnsndr does social.coop have any regular rhythms? Weekly / monthly get-togethers?
I see a diagram with a future section with office hours and quarterly meetings. Is that future here at all yet?
@ntnsndr dunno if it's a trap... Maybe just a natural stage of growth.
@ntnsndr What does TKTK DATE mean? that the wiki page has the text of the agreement but the executed agreement is elsewhere?
> Ratified TKTK DATE in solidarity,

@ntnsndr I think part of my struggle was a vaguely negative impression of loomio.
I think I ran into "access denied" many times... I think because I had let something lapse.
Anyway... that seems sorted now.
The daily email digests are pretty overwhelming, though.
@ntnsndr Is there a way to participate *in between* just being a user of the hosted fediverse server and reading every message on loomio?
Any recommended way to get up to speed on current events?
I was kinda impressed when I learned that Maker DAO puts explicit resources into outreach to its voters.
@ntnsndr yes... let's see... origin story: check:
> Social.coop was founded in 2017 in the wake of the BuyTwitter campaign.
I think I learned that at some point but forgot.
@ntnsndr
Are there formative events boiled down to story form? The "should we federate with Facebook's thing?" is the only one that comes to mind.
@ntnsndr and while I saw lots of little pieces of the decision happen, I don't know the overall story arc.
I don't even know what the decision was, where it's recorded, nor the governance structure through which it emerged.
The analog of the "I'm just a bill..." song but not for U.S. legislation but for #socialcoop decisions.
@ntnsndr I'm struggling to get into (i.e. understand ) #socialcoop governance. Not that I have tried very hard... I haven't seen an opportunity where it's clearly useful for me to dig in.
I could really use more stories.
Is there a good presentation (video recording) of the organization as a whole?
Is the origin story written down? The story of why the org was created and why it's growing.
