I'm sorry, but you can't say #Sliders aged poorly just because there have been a couple of really good #multiverse stories since, especially since none of them have been episodic shows that take time to explore the implications of each alternate reality.
I will admit that the first two seasons of Sliders are really the charming ones, before the pivot to try to make the show more dramatic for a general audience.
I must say that if I could wish to get a modern reboot of a classic show, this would be at the top of the list.
@az It wasn't terrible, but they moved production from Vancouver to LA and everything got a lot more cliche. Over half the episodes featured the same reality-jumping baddies and a bunch of scenes in those Star Trek desert bluffs.
This is one of the biggest reasons that I am so anti-AI, at least in its current incarnation. All of its promises to make work/life a little easier for people come at the expense of literally burning the world, and we were already doing far too much of that before these tools were released.
So far #Fallout is a bit on the gruesome side (to the point where it gave me weird dreams about drug-dealing zombies last night), but they certainly created a rich and vivid world and I simply can never get enough #WaltonGoggins. Nice that they found a way to have so many scenes of him without all the makeup and CGI nose removal.
Disappointed that no one ever asks the #AI and #LLM companies how their creations are going to help stop #ClimateChange, #war, or the erosion of #democracy. You know, the actual problems that we need to solve.
