@MissConstrue @theexplorographer we are not too far off in age as we’re both in our mid 40s RIGHT?? 😉. But years of high-rise condo living shielded me from the constant maintenance of a home.

In all seriousness tho, the bending and twisting and reaching were painful. Might need to take up yoga just to tighten a few screws next time!

I fixed my toilet thanks to the inspiration of Miss DIY herself, @MissConstrue !

Panic hit when I forgot to fully empty the tank before unscrewing the Fill Valve but I was prepared with rags and a mop.

The only problem is now my wife thinks I can do other jobs around the house 😅

@biped808 LOL LOL LOL YES! Honestly, it's been a tough year. Halloween gives us all an opportunity to be silly for a couple of hours.

I brought in a box of Pokemon treats for the office today - only the ones my kid didn't like and let me take away LOL. But while the office wouldn't appreciate a costume, they totally devoured the treats.

@tezoatlipoca I'd have to respectfully disagree. If you start putting deterrents on alcohol, just like we did with cigarettes, you can reduce the usage and bring down medical issues and fatalities associated with alcohol.

Costco being allowed to sell alcohol here as of today.

I know people will argue with me, but I don't think alcohol or weed should be made easier to purchase and consume. Doesn't create a better community and will lead to spikes in drinking & driving fatalities and wear down our already depleted public healthcare system through an uptick in heart disease and liver/kidney ailments.

1 - I shaved this morning. But the drive into work took SO LONG, I now have a full beard.

2 - Even if they give me a raise but still force me to work in the office, the small bump in pay won't offset the cost of childcare and gas that I spend to accommodate the in-office work I do.
