You know what might have worked better?

Less rallies and more town halls. I mean how many times do people need to hear the same stump speech over and over and over and over again.

How about listening to voters' questions, and answering them honestly and candidly all over the battleground states?

Maybe a little less talk and glitz and celebrities and courting of Dick and Liz Cheney next time, and a little more real interaction with the poor, working class, middle class and marginalized would be a better strategy.

Think of all the awesome town halls those Las Vegas Sphere ads could have made happen?

Feeling more and more bitter and disillusioned on the daily. Dislike it.

This is purely a curiousity question.

So Harris-Walz raised over a Billion dollars. Surely it wasn't even close to being all spent.

What happens with all the leftover money? Can they donate it back to worthy charities or is that against campaign finance laws?

Do they hoard it or forward it along to the DNC?

This is another question - why the fuck do they keep emailing me asking for more of my money?

I don't think I'll ever donate to another politician or party ever again.

Get the fucking obscene amount of money out of elections.

Think of what that $1B could have done for the poor, or for Palestinians, or Ukrainians and on and in and on.

We are a selfish country. We tell this tale (myth really) of freedom etc etc. The reality is this nation was founded on selfish principles to have more power, more land, to get richer. All the while crushing the less fortunate and marginalized. From land grabs and genocide of indigenous people, to slavery, to exploitation of the working class, to persecution of immigrants, to denigration of the LGBTQ+ community. The list goes on and on.

Sure we fought in WWI and II etc, but for our own best interests let's be honest.

Last night we continued our trend of selfishness and lust for wealth over treating each other with respect and dignity and fairness and justice.

We elected a con man and a convicted felon and rapist as President for a second time because we believed (falsely) that he'd somehow make our economy and our bank accounts larger and increase our wealth - women's rights and freedoms be damned, human rights be damned, the environment be damned, Ukraine be damned, Palestine be damned, again the list goes on and on.

Until we, as a nation, become unselfish and more selfless we will never ever be a "great" nation.

We will just continue to be a greedy one.

He "shits on" the military and veterans - yet so many will still vote for him

He is a rapist and sexual predator - yet women will vote for him

He's a convicted felon - yet many - including law enforcement officers, will vote for him

He's an insurrectionist and attempted a coup of the govt - yet many that say they are Patriots will vote for him

He's a racist and a xenophobe - blacks and latinos and others will vote for him.

He is a grifter who was born with a silver spoon in his hand - yet the many who are poor will vote for him.

He couldn't quote a Bible verse to save his soul - yet many evangelicals and so called religious people will vote for him.

This list could go on and on and on.

Make it make sense? I struggle with this on the daily.

I have a question for the collective - ready?

Does anyone have any good tips for removing candle wax from hardwood floors and wood furniture?

Before going to bed last night, Laura accidentally knocked a scented candle over and the hot wax spilled out onto a chair and the hardwood floor in our dining room.

Is there something that can remove the wax but not harm the wood floors?
