What does your nation's flag mean to you?

The older I get the less it means - I have the Ukrainian Flag in my username area here in support of their fight against Russia and there's really no other emoji symbol right now to showcase that.

The US Flag now holds very little meaning to me. As I get older, I feel less and less national pride, and I'm trying to think more about being a good local citizen and global citizen rather than aligning with "my country" or I guess in a way other specific countries (aside from ancestry and DNA and all that I'd say)

Does your flag hold specific meaning to you, or do you think of yourself more of a global citizen these days?

Curious to know.
