@Gargron @louisgrasset @reddwharf But I'm guessing that whilst they are being paid, they are being paid as contractors/freelancers and so are not actually hired/employed by Mastodon gGmbh. Correct?

@tdp_org @zkat I hope the situation doesn't get worse as I was waiting for the Twitter in-rush to settle down before I decided where to move my account to (such as own instance). Problem is is that @Gargron is, allegedly, the only mod for .social and .online and understandably he's a bit busy atm running the Mastodon company+being main developer.

If they are into tech I really like @nova 's https://hachyderm.io/about . https://toot.cafe currently closed. https://joinmastodon.org/servers and https://instances.social are good places to start, but if they are on twitter, scan their followers using https://pruvisto.org/debirdify/ to find their friends and their servers.
